Welcome to my website! I’m Cassandra Clare. My first book, an urban fantasy novel for young adults centering on the adventures of the demon-fighting Nephilim (also called Shadowhunters), City of Bones, was published in 2007 by Simon and Schuster followed by City of Ashes, City of Glass, and City of Fallen Angels. There are also a set of prequels to the Mortal Instruments series, called The Infernal Devices, the first of which is Clockwork Angel. It is set in London and deals with characters related to those in the Mortal Instruments books. The fifth Mortal Instruments book, City of Lost Souls, will be released May, 2012. ( In total, there will be six books in the Mortal Instruments series: City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, and City of Heavenly Fire.) The second book of The Infernal Devices, Clockwork Prince, will be released December 6, 2011.
